'intellectual'' has always been in the heart of opinion discussions and all kinds of thinking standards.

This is, especially, due to the diversified nature of intellectuals'' aspects and ideologies as they play a central role through different stages of their civilization.

Many Arabic dictionaries and encyclopedias agree upon the fact that the intellectual is an educated, intelligent or skillful person.

Such qualities did not come to life, in their current and shared meanings, before the year 1894 considered as a historical reference for the term ''intellectual''.

This latter became widely used in France during the Dreyfus affair which pushed famous celebrities of the French society to stand against the Jewish army officer indictment through a declaration signed by these same persona called ''intellectuals declaration''.

However, the situation is that although many studies researches treated this term, it remains charged with numerous interpretations and definitions as it is linked to some sort of reality refusal and a will of change.

It is also an indicator for a scientific qualification or diploma, even though many philosophers and thinkers rejected to associate it with any kind of scientific status.

The only criterion they accepted to admit is the efficient contribution to common affaires and to go beyond mere protesting stands.
