With the emergence of the cognitive sciences with their distinctive specialties began to talk about the reform of "cognition" as the subject of study in the field of linguistics, the scholars differed about its concept on the one hand and how to translate it into Arabic and foreign interviews on the other.

This study presented the most important concepts associated with the term cognition while attempting to find an appropriate translation of the term cognition and distinguishing it from the translation of terms overlapping with it in the concept as the terms of knowledge and perception.
