El reglo de los reyesThe translation of the political discourse is part of the difficult translations, because it requires a complete analysis and effective linguistic mechanisms.

Indeed linguistic pragmatics would be the most appropriate approach to deal with the translation problems, targeting in particular at the implicit language which characterizes the political discourse.

This article will contribute positively to the current debate in linguistics, it is to present the different currents of reflection and research that are part of the pragmatic paradigm, considering pragmatics not as a discipline, or a subfield of linguistics, but rather as a methodological approach that connects linguistic concepts with translation standards, based on the comparative analytical approach of Cuban President Fidel Castro's political discourse translated from Spanish into Arabic -El regalo de los reyes- (The gift of kings).
