Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the voluntary traits of the Jordanian national team players for Taekwondo from their view point and its relationship to athletic achievement.

To achieve this, the researcher used the descriptive method with a sample consisting of (18) players.

The players were selected in a deliberate way to achieve the objectives of the study and answer its questions.

The researcher used the questionnaire as a data collection tool, which was designed and presented to a group of experts in the field and was finalized in (25) paragraphs.

In order to answer the objectives of the study and its questions, the mathematical averages, standard deviations were used to answer the first question, and the coefficient of correlation was used to answer the second question.

The results of the study showed that the traits of the national team players came to a medium degree and that there is a statistically significant correlation between the traits of achievement and performance.

In other words, the higher the level of voluntary traits is, the better the athletic achievement of the players.

The researcher recommends the use of a psychologist for the players to take care of their voluntary traits and to improve their performance.
