and in order to improve the degraded conditions of the nation, Mohammed ben Abdelkbir el Kattani began his reform by appealing to wisdom and reason by trying to convey his Kattania theory so, all of his preaching work had positive effects especially when he fought against the privileges reserved for foreigners and he criticized the allies of heretics or the fact of asking westerners for help which cost him reproaches and harassment of his enemies and the Ulemas of the time who accused him of plotting for an uprising against the sultan and this after to have surpassed them in science and in fame which gave him more confidence in his reformist ends and he launched himself more into his attempt at change.

however, he encountered several difficulties including imprisonment and death during the reign of Moulay Abdelhafid.
