Abstract EN

In the present study, we attempt to shed light on the most paramount issues revolving around the generative theory.

Our aim is to pinpoint the philosophical bases on which the theory at hand was built, notably in what regards its conceptualization of the mind-body problem as well as what it suggests in what concerns the mind and the language.

To address these aspects, we outline theonthologicalquestion: (1)The onthological question: where can we pigeonhole the research topic (ie linguistic knowledge)? Is it a Platonic phenomenon that belongs to the supernatural?Or is it just a human invention (or artificial)?Or is it a natural phenomenon, that belongs to natural existence?
