our study aimed to highlight the role of desert ecotourism as a central basis for supporting and achieving sustainable development through the impact of tourism on every dimension of development.

This type of tourism, especially in Algeria, is distinguished from other types of tourism.

Algeria has a great diversity of landscapes and ecosystems, and by presenting the most important desert eco-tourism areas in Algeria and clarifying its contribution in supporting sustainable development in its dimensions, Through the presence of an effective and distinctive role of desert environmental tourism in supporting and promoting sustainable development, especially in the dimension of the environmental dimension, but this is not enough to reach the level of sustainable development required compared to neighboring countries.
