This study attempts to engage in the ongoing discussion about possible alternatives and policies to overcome economic and environmental problems, or at least reduce the effects of these problems, where solar energy is one of the most important of these vital alternatives that can contribute to creating wealth and get rid of the olute dependence of oil rents and compliance with sustainability standards Environmental - in response to the challenges of sustainable development - as a result of the abundance of Algeria in terms of potential and important natural and human ingredients.

Thus, this research paper aims to shed light on the situation of solar energy in Algeria by highlighting the characteristics of solar energy in Algeria, and the obstacles (problems) facing the use of solar energy in Algeria.
