Abstract EN

The psychological closure test is an important methodical diagnostic tool to measure the learner's abilities to understand readable textual content, thus measuring the difficulty of text readability.

The closure process is based on the interaction between the reader and the text presented in the form of written content in which the evaluator removes certain words in an organized way to enable him to use his intellectual processes to achieve the missing right words that consider themselves as words indicative of the learner's level of understanding.

The closure process is the result of Taylor's work in (1953) which inspired him from the precepts of gestaltist theory, the liveliness of this test lies in its reliability to diagnose the deficiency of the text form and background.

The purpose of this study is to find out the protocol of the closure test and to reveal these resources to diagnose the lack of legibility of certain texts of the Arabic language textbook The study was carried out on a sample of (139) made up of fifth graders randomly selected from primary schools in the town of ali mendjeli wilaya de Constantine.

The results resulted in three levels of legibility, namely the independent level; level of education and frustrated level, while there is virtually no difference in the level of legibility of the Arabic language manual between girls and boys.
