Abstract EN

Parliament is one of the most important institutions in which representative democracy is practiced, and on this basis most of the legislation and systems, including Algeria, are keen to provide all guarantees that enhance the effectiveness of parliamentary performance, and these guarantees are embodied in granting parliamentary immunity to the representatives and members in order to enable them to perform well.

Their representative duties are totally and without restrictions or harassment from any party whatsoever, and hence the importance of this immunity, in both its substantive and procedural parts, which is what this study aims to raise by researching the issue of parliamentary immunity, defining its concept, the extent of its consecration, and how to apply it in Algerian legislation.
