Abstract EN

This work seeks to monitor the manifestations of the Sultan's absence in Mauritania, and how the jurists tried to establish in a theoretical garment by relying on the Islamic Code regarding the roles of the Imam and the related legal and social interests.

Therefore, the aim of this article is to trace the political situation in Mauritania and their specificity, as no authority has been known except for the Mourabitoune State, even the matter remains an intellectual and elitist operator where various cultural approches have been called upon to find alternatives to manage the conditions of people and their issues.

The truth is that this theorization was not accmpanied by the creation of a sponsoring political authority, but rathe was replaced by the concept of the legal and tribal group to carry out the legal and realistic roles assigned to the Imam.

Indeed, this article examines the dialectic of the historical authority and its lack in the Mauritanian field, where the historical and political speeches were formed in regards of the act that must be adapted and approved to facilitate and take care of the people's affairs and conditions.

In general, we have tried in this article to dismantle the political structure in its multiple elitist speeches and its various perceptions - without frustration, arbitrariness, and projections of the globalistic view of tradtional societies - in order to understand the profound political transformations that the Mauritanian region has known and the specificity of the field and the knowledge produced in it, that has remained difficult to implement, even if there were somewhat bold attempts to estabilish the concept of the Imam, override the existing reality and put forward new alternatives instead.
