Since the end of the Cold War, liberal democracy has become the best model of government, with the twentieth century being arguably the century of democracy.

However, ـــــــــــــــ since the time of the city-state in Ancient Greeceــــــــــــــ ـ democracy has critics and opponents who have either tried to reform or replace it.

In this paper, we explore a form of liberal democracy in the so-called participatory democracy, by reading this new concept of Western democracy.
