English Abstract

The tests of intelligence and mental abilities were one of the most prominent tests of inference, and they are tools of evaluation and measurement of good and widespread and use and we can say that there is no pattern of tests more knowledge and prevalence than we find in the tests of intelligence and mental abilities, and that the results play a major and important role in many fields Brody believes that tests of intelligence and mental abilities are of great importance that need to be studied and discussed, because they constitute an objective contribution and application in psychology and because they are designed to solve practical problems, and its wide use in applied fields, the study aimed The researcher built the test of the inference ability, which in its final form consists of (40) paragraphs, after extracting the sincerity and distinguishing the paragraphs, and extracting the validity and reliability of the test using the appropriate statistical means.

Test on the statistical analysis sample of (400) students, as well as the researcher applied the scale to the final application sample of (200) students, which was chosen by random method.

The study concluded that the deductive ability test has good psychometric properties and high level The inferential ability of the research sample, and the presence of the impact of sex in the ability and in favor of the male sample, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the sample of the scientific and literary branches and for the benefit of the scientific branch.

The study conducted a similar study on middle school students and compared the results with the results of the current study.
