This article aims to analyze and study the phonetic phenomena in Arabic and French language in the light of the contrastive method that aims to clarify the different and similar aspects between linguistic phenomena.

So, this research comes to clarify the phonetic characters in both languages.

The phonetic system is built on three phonetic pillars: the consonants, the vowels, and the semivowels that allow communicate with each other.

The knowledge of the phonetic characters is considered like a way to learn a second language through the different and similar aspects.
