Abstract EN

The contribution of the woman in the province of Touat in fighting and resisting the French colonialism was in various ways and means that could be provided by the cirumstances at that time, despite the hard desert environment in which she lived.

The woman in Touat did not hesitate to join the ranks of the National Liberation Army; where she worked as a nurse treating the Mujahideen or to cook and prepare them food, also she was considered as a useful mean of communication by transmitting letters between the Mujahideen.

Therefore, in this work we will attempt to shed light on the role of the Touati woman in the liberation revolution throught the testimonies of the Mujahideen, and how she was able to resist both physical and psychological torture used by the colonizer to preserve the unity of the revolution until the independence.
