Abstract EN

The problem of research have been represented in the lack of standard levels of mental and psychological performance because it is an important means to know the performance level for players and to rectify progress range achieved by the player, also to rectify weaknesses and strength at the curricula developed training programmes.

Research goals: - 1-identify the levels of dimensions scale (psychological skills) and the average satisfactory to football player of some Iraqi elite league football teams.

2-to find standard grades to rectify the mental and psychological performance of football players of the Iraqi elite league football 2015-2016.

3-determine the stander levels of mental and psychological performance of football players of the Iraqi elite league football 2015-2016.

The research used the descriptive programme by the scaning style on a sample of the Iraqi elite league football players (125), players distributed in clubs like (police, air force, alzawra, electricity, students).

The researcher reached to many conclusions, including them: - 1-The results of the standard levels achieved for the sample of the research show that the results of the sample were very modest results.

2-the members of the research sample achieved a level in the psychological performance for all the dimentions, this level declined in the intermediate levels and below more than the other reste levels.

While the researcher recommends the need to rely on the results of this research, especially the standard grades and work to benefit them in the selection of qualified players to represent the national teams as well as teams participating in foreign championship of football.
