Abstract EN

This research is part of the macroeconomic policies, specifically in the international economy, and aims to study the effect of the liberalization of foreign trade on the exchange rate in Algeria by carrying out a standard analytical study for the period 1990-2016, by addressing in the theoretical part some concepts related to the liberalization of foreign trade And exchange rate.

Then We reviewed the evolution of the study variables after their evaluation, And using the econometric approach to quantify the relationship between the degree of trade openness and the real exchange rate, The results of the standard study showed that the liberalization of foreign trade in Algeria during the study period had a negative effect on the real exchange rate during this period.
