The aim of the research is to evaluate the social books of the first grade of the average from the point of view of teachers and teachers for the academic year 2017-2018 edition of 2017.
The original research community consists of all the teachers and social workers who study the social studies book for the first grade (712) teachers and schools in Baghdad.
The researcher chose a sample of 20% (144) teachers and schools.
The researcher used the questionnaire, which consisted of (55) paragraphs divided into (6) areas, which were presented to a group of experts and arbitrators to extract their apparent validity, used the questionnaire to collect the data, completed their responses and analyzed their results using the weighted mean.
The research reached the results of the most important included the book on strange vocabulary needed to clarify, and did not balance the topics of geography, history and national.
In light of the results presented by this research, the researcher recommends the following recommendations to involve teachers and teachers in the preparation, development and evaluation of the textbook because they are responsible for its implementation.
The new curriculum was put under trial before its adoption and implementation
