This research aims to: 1- Measure positive thinking of the kindergarten teachers in Baghdad city.2- Measure functional performance of kindergarten teachers in Baghdad city.3- Know the strength & direction of the relation between positive thinking & functional performance of kindergarten teachers.4- Determination the contribution of positive thinking (dependent variable) in the changing of the variance in the functional performance (independent variable).

The sample consist of (400) kindergarten teachers in Baghdad city.

To verify the aims of the research the researcher has prepared two scales for positive thinking & for functional performance of kindergarten teachers.

She has depended in their preparing on some previous studies & theoretical frames, and she has got the psychometric characteristics for both scales like face validity & construct validity by the ways of items discrimination & the relation of the item with total score & got reliability by Alfa Cronbach way.

After using the suit statistical methods, the researcher has reached that there are good number of kindergarten teachers have positive thinking & functional performance in addition of a good positive statistically significant relation between positive thinking & functional performance, and positive thinking contributes in (49% ) in functional performance.
