English Abstract

Rice straw samples were collected in Dewania governate, cleaned and milled, then stored in sterilecontainers.

Milled rice straw was chemicaly treated with (1% ) of sodium hydroxide.

Then biologicaltreatment by bacterial isolate Bacillus sp cultivate in mineral medium with alkali treated rice strawas carbone source and compared with cellulose standard medium.

To know result of biologicaltreatment of bacterial isolate on rice straw and for comparsion, the viable bacterial count wasmeasured, which reached )4.32×106cfu( in rice straw medium, while in cellulose medium reached)3.96×106 cfu(.

Bioethanol was diagnosed and concentration estimated by gas chromatography.

The concentration of bioethanol whith rice straw was )16.620% (, while in cellulose medium was)11.853% (.
