Abstract EN
Britain made several attempts to enhance its control on the Arab Gulf Area and to increase its colonial power, especially when it moved the headquarter of the British political official in 1946 from Bushahar on the Eastern coast of the Arab Gulf to Bahrain on its western coast.
Also, Britain appointed political agents and employees in the Omani eastern coast Emirates like Abu Dhabi, Al-Shariqah and Dubai for the purpose of achieving its own interest in the area.
Moreover, it established Omani coast force in 1951 from mercenaries to serve in the British army for the stability and security in the area, as well as the establishment of a council for the reconciled Emirates rulers in 1952 including the rulers of the seven Emirates.
The goal of this council is to discuss the internal affairs of the area.
As a final attempt, Britain established a bureau for developing the coastal Emirates in 1965 as a reflection to the help provided by the Arab league to the Emirates and making several project.
