Abstract EN

The study area is one of the middle Euphrates governorates where it occupies the northern end represents a gate towards Baghdad and northern governorates .this location became a part of largest planning regions for country.

So there was need to study the urban system and diagnose the strengths and weaknesses in order to promote it according to the visions of development help to redistribute the population and correct their deployment .

The study found that there are a variety economic potential could use and have a future role in the creation of the growth pole attracts population and development and address some of the imbalance in urban system .one big city sovereignty(Hilla) has lead to the occurrence of disparity between the cities first and second city and the third until the last weaker than its urban .as it turned out, and the role of small cities and possess the potential to accommodate current and future population increases.
