Using the New Ottomanism and Strategic Depth approaches, we try in this article to examine the problem of how Turkish foreign policy seeks to secure its gas needs in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

Assuming that the energy variable is the main motivation for competition between regional and international States in order to expand influence on the one hand and gain gains in the region.

Accordingly, it highlights the energy reality in Turkey, which, as a result of its urgent need, has been transformed into a privileged security issue, being one of the most important components of the economic renaissance, and one of the main pillars of Turkey's regional and international role as a hub in the energy transfer process, as a result of which it has taken a distinct place in the Turkish foreign policy agenda.

Also, we examines the motives for Turkey's interest in Libya and the Eastern Mediterranean Basin.
