Abstract EN

The following study aims to shed light on the services and programs provided by special education in the form of various educational alternatives, ranging from isolating people with special needs or integrating them to join their ordinary peers in public schools.

The study concludes that the difference and diversity of educational alternatives is due to the disabilities’ diversity and severity.

Thus, one educational alternative cannot be preferred over the other.

Rather, the choice is based on the type of needs, the degrees of difference, and the various capabilities and qualifications available to countries, in addition to the nature of their view of people with special needs.
