Abstract EN

The study examined the role of agricultural policies in achieving Algerian food security, through researching the role of agricultural programs and plans in promoting the infrastructure of the agricultural sector and achieving agricultural and rural development and then food security.

Emphasis was placed on two basic plans known to Algeria during the period from 2000 to 2014, namely (the National Plan for Agricultural and Rural Development, and the Policy for Agricultural and Rural Renewal).
