Abstract EN

The over mentioned subject occupies an important position in the Islamic thought since we are legislatively tasked amend the earth and its growth.

The development constitutes a challenge for all the world nations because it is considered a sustain and continuous process aiming to progress and facing problems of ignorance accompanied by poverty, unemployment, environment pollution and crime –counter.

The purposes of Economic Development, along with its effect on the economic renaissance are the solutions standing as obstacles before the human since the latter is regarded as a genuine wealth for nations and as an essential element for its progress; he is able to acquire knowledge and abilities.

The methodology has been suitable to such study, it is the method of inductive one, where it is necessitated to get evidences from the main references, including Quran and Prophet's instructions that give some facts and practical applications.

Our study includes four researches, preceded by an introduction, and conclusion.

The 1st research: Includes definition of the purposes linguistically and methodologically, definition of the development linguistically and methodologically.

The 2nd research: Includes types of economicdevelopment, aims and requirements.

The 3rd research: Dealing with the development in the Islamic Economic Thought.

The 4th research: Includes the economic development purposes in the Islamic Economic Thought.

After extensively studying the subject, it has been indicated that the economic development has many purposes, including the human development since there is no development without having the human feel that he has the ability the active effect to fulfill such development; a human is both the means and the end for addressing the ignorance via the knowledge and educational system development; besides, providing health patronage to all people in respect to the health social environment that provides rest to all and preserving the social entity for the family.

Of the economic development purposes, is the development of natural resources in respect to the trade, industrial, agricultural development, along with protecting the environment from pollution and exhaustion.

This actually leadto providing foods and necessary things to all people.
