Green Information Technology, also known as Green Computing, is the study and practice of designing, manufacturing and using computers, servers, monitors, printers, storage devices, networks, communication systems, strategies and practices that improve and enhance environmental sustainability efficiently and effectively to zero or minimize environmental impact.

The study identifies environmental problems resulting from the use of ICTs and attempts to suggest how IT can help organizations and society as a whole in their efforts to improve environmental sustainability.

The aim is to try to upgrade the capacity of organizations to adopt or upgrade the green ICT project.

The sample size (50) managers from each of the hotels of Baghdad five stars (10) managers.

The study found that hotel organizations have considerable maturity in the aspects of operations management ICT.
