There is no doubt that Islamic thought in the medieval era knew a number of intellectual and philosophical contributions and endeavors, and perhaps the most prominent of them we find Hojat al-Islam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, which had a profound impact on the later philosophical experiments, whether those known in modern European thought, In particular, the experiment of doubt by the French philosopher René Descartes, or that witnessed by contemporary Arab Islamic thoug.

This article came to investigate and elucidate Al-Ghazali's philosophical experiment, and to show its strong impact on the thought of the philosophy jurist and ethics philosopher Taha Abdurrahman, especially in its logical and mystical dimensions.
