Foreign direct investment and its relationship to economic growth in IraqProf Dr.

Qader Aejanabi Technical College of Management /BaghdadSamira Fawzy ShehabMedical Institule Technical Mansourt BaghdadFDI represents a flow of capital on a non-State capital for the purpose of establishing long term project، and managed from the investor to profit and an increase in total GDP and real per capita income.

Research aims to know the relationship between FDI، and economic growth in Iraq، based on the hypotheses that although Iraq facilities needed for foreign investment is still low and investment relationship with GDP is weak.

Model results indicated that between foreign investment and GDP significant relationship between them and the relationship was weak because foreign investment decline.

Research is recommended to provide the proper environment for promoting foreign direct investment to work inside Iraq to work in Iraq in Infrastructure and security stability.
