Abstract EN

The topic of Arab-Arab relations is one of the most important topics that shed light on the nature and orientation of Arab countries' policies and trends and explain the reasons for the consensus and disharmony between them.

Hence, this research is devoted to the Libyan-Jordanian political relations to determine the nature of these relations during the period 1986- 1987 and to clarify the problems and tensions that have reflected the relations between the two countries.

This research covers one of the most important periods in contemporary Arab history due to its overcrowding with events that have affected Arab-Arab relations, positively or negatively.

The year 1969 was chosen as the beginning of research because of the change of the regime in Libya from monarchy to republican following the military coup on September 1, 1969.

The year 1987 was chosen as the end of the research, the end of the rupture in Jordanian-Libyan relations, and its continued improvement since that date.

Our choice of the topic of the Jordanian-Libyan relation in particular grounded on the shortage of serious studies regarding the relations between both countries during this period.

It was necessary to develop the Essentials of these relationships to be regarded as a starting point for further studies about this issue.
