Abstract EN

This paper adopts the descriptive analytic method to analyse the type of simile used in Faraj Yaseen's collection of short stories: The Father's Post and how he utilized the elements of the surrounding environment –by using simile—to paint an effective portrait which participated in conveying and illuminating the meaning of his work.
