I decided to share with the readers an unprecedented translation from French into Arabic of an important article previously published by researchers Jean - René Ladmiral and Marie Mériaud in the first issue of the Canadian Meta magazine in 2005.

Researchers try here to, respectively, answer two central questions; the first relates to the motivation behind training translators in specialized institutes and colleges while the second focuses on the necessity of their training in the light of the expansion of international relations, economic exchanges and cultural relations, which made the demand for translation remarkably high.

Moreover, before answering these two fundamental questions, the researchers decide to demarcate the concept of translation which, apparently very broad, results in misunderstanding, misbehavior and misinterpretation on the part of the actors in the field of translation: professors, students, administrators, clients, and employers.

These two researchers present their views fluently in an interesting format that facilitates the readers' study and understanding.
