Abstract EN

The study aims to reveal how the Algerian written press deals with security news, through the events of a stampede of pilgrims in Mina during the rituals of the 2015 Hajj season, due to the last victims of the killing of at least 769 people, Algeria recorded about 46 deaths.

The research used a content analysis tool for 13 numbers.

Al-Shorouk Al-Daily newspaper during a period of time extending from September 24, 2015 until October 24, 2015.

The study concluded that Al-Shorouk Al-Yawy newspaper allocated significant space to deal with the event and attributed the causes of the stampede among pilgrims to: the mis-organization of the 2015 Hajj season by the local authorities and the ence of regular awareness among pilgrims.
