The research aims to identify the reality of the professional development of teachers in Egypt through a presentation of the concept of professional development of teachers and their methods, and the exposure to the reality of the professional development of teachers in Egypt, through the identification of educational policies.

and then to identify the obstacles facing the professional development of teachers in general and then present the challenges and problems facing the professional development of teachers in Egypt in particular.

finally, the research presented a proposed scenario for how to create real professional development for teachers in Egypt through a set of mechanisms proposed by the researcher.
