This noble surah was revealed to the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him at a time when the revelation was delayed upon him, and he suffered because of this delay and what was harmed by his enemies.

His Lord gave him good tidings of good news, to entertain him, may blessings and peace be upon him, and God mentioned a number of divine favors and concluded it with another set of commands and rulings.
