Abstract EN

This study aims to knowing the importance of children in general and what religions and constitutions said about the rights of children generally, and the main reasons which resulted in the phenomenon of street children in Egypt, and the dangers which come from neglecting children.

It also aims to understanding the main components of the good citizenship of street children , and the necessary needs for qualifying the street children, and identifying the educational models of friendly schools for street children which can achieve the requirements of street children, and getting the required condition which help street children to become qualified for good citizenship.The study used the descriptive method and its tools which depended on a questionnaire applying it on a sample of care centers representatives, social workers , some experts of educationists .

The study resulted in some conclusions including that : there is a relation between educational insufficiency and the problem of street children.

Child is in need for love ,compassionateness, and fondling from family and society.

It also concluded the necessity of helping children to understand their identity .

Developing the children’s feeling of confidence , and dignity.

Offering the educational and entertainment activities for street children .

The study recommended a proposed model of friendly schools for street children which can achieve their needs and making them good citizens in the society.
