Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the nature of the relationship between strategic planning and university management.

The problem is based on asking the following question, "Is the lack of success in applying corporate governance because of lack of interest in strategic planning? "The importance of study increases by highlighting two important variables for any organization, including institutions of higher education, namely (strategic planning, university administration).

The study of these variables is an urgent necessity to improve the level of academic performance, which in turn is reflected in the sobriety of educational programs and research activities.

To achieve the goal of the study, the researcher relied on the questionnaire as the main study tool for data collection, which included 37 questions distributed between 21 questions for strategic planning and 16 questions related to university administration.

(186) university leaders participated in the study with the rank of (Dean, Assistant Dean, and Head of Department).

With a response rate (89% ), it was analyzed by SPSS and Smart-PLS.

The study came out with several conclusions, the most important of which is the presence of a direct and positive direct impact relationship between strategic planning and university management.

The researcher believes that the study variables, despite the results reached, need more research efforts because they are very important in promoting the sobriety of higher education.
