Abstract EN
The purpose of this article is to present the results of an exploratory survey within the framework of a doctoral research on the difficulties of speaking during oral interactions in French as a foreign language.
At the end of an experiment and after analysis of data collected through class observations, we show how the possibility offered to learners to choose topics for discussion, made it possible to increase their motivation and to create a class climate conducive to oral expression.

L’objet de cet article est de présenter les résultats d’une enquête à caractère exploratoire entrant dans le cadre d’une recherche doctorale portant sur les difficultés à prendre la parole lors d’interactions orales en classe de français langue étrangère.
A l’issue d’une expérimentation et après analyse de données recueillies à travers des observations de classe, nous montrons comment la possibilité offerte aux apprenants de choisir des thèmes de discussion, a permis d’accroître leur motivation et d’instaurer un climat de classe propice à l’expression orale.
