Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the measures taken by the Bank of Algeria to give effect to the implementation of the new requirements of the Basel 3 in the Algerian banking system and to determine its expected impact on it.

This study also aims to identify the challenges that stand in the way of the full and proper implementation of Basel 3 in the Algerian banking system and to find some ways that could help to enhance their application.

This study concluded that although the Bank of Algeria has adapted the Algerian banking system to Basel 3, several reforms must be undertaken in order to bring it into line with these new decisions, as there are some challenges to the establishment of these decisions in the field, and the application of Basel 3 decisions in the Algerian banking system will not have a significant impact on it.
