The data envelope method is one of the widely used methods, and its traditional models assume that the inputs and outputs are quantitative and accurate.

Accordingly, the active insurance companies in the Algerian market seek to achieve efficiency to keep pace with modern developments and ensure growth and continuity.

The study sample includes twenty companies in two specializations, life and damage, and our goal is to measure relative efficiency For social insurance companies active in the Algerian market for the year 2017, which is an indicator limited to between 0 and 1, and knowledge and analysis of strengths and weaknesses and to produce the required improvements.

The results are summarized in that about 40% of the studied sample achieved full efficiency, while the rest of the companies were inefficient.
