Abstract EN

"Firdawsy, Shahnameh" a complete mirror of Iranian culture, has arisen from the myths and history of ancient Iran, and the "Ibn Kulthum, Muallqa" - one of the pre-Islamic Arab poets - is the reflection of the thought and opinion of the Bedouin Arand its ambitions.

These two poets used to create their stories ingredients and techniques that known as the elements of the story.

The use of these elements gave coherence and interconnection to their stories and led them to enjoy the logic of storytelling.

This study aims to show and analyze the most important narrative elements used in "Shahnameh and Ibn Kulthum, Muallqa" with the descriptive-analytical approach.

The results showed that the most important elements of the story, which are elements such as characters, plot, setting, plat, narrative, dialogue, etc, have been used clearly in these two works, and have been demonstrated in them widely and in a manner appropriate to the topic.

These techniques were represented in an artistic and theoretical manner in them and series of causes wrapped events in a way that convinced the modern one rationality about the modern concept of storytelling.
