Critical opinions constitute the result of critics 'concerted efforts which have contributed to their crystallization.

History revels that East' countries were considered as the birthplace of many critical opinions founding by critics such as Al-Jamhi, Al-Jahiz, Ibn Qutaiba, Ibn Tabatiba, and others.

Indeed, the Maghreb has successfully accompanied literary criticism 'movement, whereas, its critics have contributed to the development and enrichment of criticism.

In this article, we try to monitor the critical efforts made by Maghreb' countries during the fifth century AH, by examining the contributions of two prominent scholars: Abd al-Karim al-Nahshli and Ibn Rishiq al-Qayrawani.

So, we decided to start by introducing the era of the critics, then presenting critical issues of their two famous compilers “Al Mumti” and “The Mayor.

” we'll try then monitoring efforts and noticing what each critic added compared to his predecessors.

In fact, research revealed that era' circumstances helped the emergence of a critical movement, and showed their wide knowledge of previous critical efforts; consequently, their compilations collect the previous critics' opinions.
