The current study aims to highlight the psychological health and suffering of parents of children with special needs by identifying the psychological profile of mothers of children with down syndrome, researching the personal factors that determine the shape of their psychiatric illness, and revealing their most important preparations and psychopathological tendencies.

the study was applied on one case as a model of this family of mothers that was selected according to certain conditions, and it based on the clinical approach using the following tools: Direct clinical observation and semi-directed clinical interview, and the test of Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory "MMPI-2", The results indicated that the mother of the child with down syndrome suffers from depressive psychopathological tendencies, and introverted psychopathological tendencies
