Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the prevailing attitudes on the mothers of children with down syndrome And study their attitudes according to children s gender, we relied on descriptive method, 51mother were chosen randomly from the province of médéa as samples, the scale of parental attitudes toward mental disability was applied on lmene mohamed kachaf.

The study found that the prevailing attitudes of the mothers of children with down syndrome was positive, Morever there were no differences in mother s attitudes toward their children with down syndrome according to their gender.
