شهدت الدولة العثمانية و الأيالات التابعة لها على مر تاريخها ظهور العديد من الاوبئة الفتاكة أبرزها وباء الطاعون القاتل الي فتك بالآلاف من سكانها و من سكان ولاياتها، و من أبرز و أكبر تلك الأيالات التي تعرضت الى أخطر تلك الأوبئة (إيالة الجزائر) نظير أهمية موقعها الجغرافي و الاستراتيجي و روابطها مع العالم الخارجي و الأوروبي من جهة و من جهة أخرى الباب العالي و توسعاته و حروبه ضد أوروبا فالجزائر المشهورة بقوة أسطولها البحري كانت ضمن الأسطول العثماني بجانبه و تسانده في انتصاراته و انتكاساته من عهد البايربايات الى عهد الدايات مما جعلها عرضة لعدوى وباء الطاعون القاتل و نقله الى الجزائر نفس الشيء حدث مع التجار و طلاب العلم في المشرق الإسلامي فكثيرا ما كانوا يعودون الى الجزائر حاملين عدوى هذا الوباء الذي فتك بالألاف من الجزائريين، في وقت لم يكن أمام حكام الجزائر العثمانية سوى تطبيق الحجر الصحي أو الاعتماد على التطبيب في بعض الأحيان إن و جد.
Abstract EN
The plague in the Ottoman Algeria between quarantine and medicineAstract: The Ottoman Empire and its subversions witnessed throughout its history the emergence of many deadly epidemics, the most prominent of which is the deadly plague epidemic that killed thousands of its inhabitants and the inhabitants of its states, and among the most prominent and largest of those elephants that have been exposed to the most serious of these epidemics (the placement of Algeria) in view of the importance of its geographical and strategic location and its links with The external and European world on the one hand and the high door and its expansion and wars against Europe.
Algeria, famous for the strength of its naval fleet, was within the Ottoman fleet next to it and supported it in its victories and setbacks from the era of Bayerbat to the era of the Dayats, which made it vulnerable to the fatal plague epidemic infection and its transfer to Algeria the same thing happened with the merchants and students Science in the Islamic East often came back to Algeria carrying the infection of this epidemic that killed thousands of Algerians, at a time when the rulers of Ottoman Algeria had no choice but to apply quarantine or medical treatment in some cases, if any.
