Abstract EN

This research studies the essence of the poetry in the ancient Maghreb criticism, and this is based on the two most famous Maghreb criticism books namely; “El-Omda FI SINA'AT AL-SHI'R WA ADABIHI- the author is Ibn Rashiq” and “ MINHAJ EL-BOLAGHA WA SIRAJ EL-ODABA- the author is Hazem El-kartajanni”.

And because the two books are different in their discussion on the essence of the poetry in terms of their way of criticising and how they got affected by the imaginary style and the literature style.

Therefore, this study attempts to explore the differences that emerged from the most famous Arabic criticism case, and this based on the mentioned books earlier, and also, this study highlights how this case moves from literature style to philosophic imaginary style.

The parallel discussion that has been used in this study to figure out the nature of the criticism thinking of the two authors and their attempt to crystalize the criticism concept of the Arabic poetry.
