The category of origin and branch in Arabic grammar is an old concept that represents an essential component of the study and analysis of the history of Arabic grammar whose parts have been scattered in modern and contemporary references.

Given that this concept is related to the inherited grammatical lesson, some contemporary researchers have begun to reconsider its status, especially those associated with the descriptive approach.

Another view that is similar to the obstetric and the literalist is consistent with the ion of this statement by the grammarians.

This research paper seeks to clarify the most important concepts contained in the title, and attempts to answer the following questions: What is its effect on phonemic, morphological and compositional description and interpretation? And how authoritative is the criticism directed at it in light of the development of modern linguistics?
