Abstract EN

This paper aims to study the problem of pharmaceutical research and development in the sector pharmaceutical industry, in light of the increased rise in the import bill of medicines, which exceeded 2 billion dollars annually, in our belief in securing advanced ranks on the world map through innovation and exploration processes and breaking the dependence on the monopoly of major international companies that control and control production and setting prices.

We, as researchers, resorted to following the quantitative.

It has been concluded that the pharmaceutical industry in Algeria is far from the processes of research and development or innovation.

Despite its development after the adoption of the industrialization policy and the incentives received by pharmaceutical institutions, however, this research paper revealed an almost complete lack of interest in research and development on the part of pharmaceutical production laboratories in Algeria.
