Abstract EN

The study aims to reveal and identify the levels of mental habits among students of the third year of secondary school and the differences between them that are attributed to the variables of sex and field, and habits of mind: it is a set of skills, attitudes and values that enable the individual to build preferences from smart performances or behaviors.

Which leads him to choose a mental process, performance or a behavior from a set of options available to him to confront a problem, issue or apply behavior effectively.

The study sample consisted of 150 male and female students, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the research applied the Habits of Mind scale from Salah Sharif Abdel-Wahhab and Ismail Hassan Al-Waleili.

We used the exploratory descriptive approach.

The results of the study revealed that there is a high level in the habits of mind among the students of the third year of secondary school, and there are statistically significant differences in the habits of mind in favor of females, and there are no significant differences in the field.

Furthermore, there is a high level of acquiring the habits of a productive mind among students of the third year of secondary education, as the habits of mind differ from one individual to another according to the type of intelligence distinguished for each individual in addition to the type of material he acquires.

Teachers seek to establish strong relationships with learners through programming habits of mind throughout the curriculum.
