The aim of the current research is to know: • The level of emotional attention among university students (research sample).

• The statistically significant differences in emotional attention according to the gender and quota variable among university students (research sample).

In order to achieve this, it was necessary to prepare a tool to measure emotional attention, so the researcher built a scale by which to measure emotional attention among university students, and the researcher relied on the definition of Salovy and others (Salovey et al.

, 1995: 183).

To identify emotional attention, and after verifying the psychometric properties of the research scale and its paragraphs, they are applied to the basic research sample of (400) male and female students, then they were chosen by the random stratified method with a proportional distribution, as choosing the sample in this way makes it more representative of the original research community, which is It gives the researcher freedom to choose a number from each layer in a random manner commensurate with its size in the research community, and after analyzing the data statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), the results yielded the following: • The university students have a high level of emotional attention.
